Do you think that economists are too serious? I’d certainly like them to loosen up more often and that is why I much enjoyed meeting Yoram Baumann at the Fund Forum International last summer.

Yoram is the world’s first and only stand-up economist. He flew all the way from Seattle to wake us up with a dose of unusual but refreshing insights into global economics.

It took a little while before the audience got into the mood for comedy right after their first morning coffee, but Yoram eventually managed to give us a good start of the day.

Why is this here?

It's another example that economics can be not only be hilariously entertaining, but also make a lot more sense when it comes out the mouths of people like Yoram.
