We discussed the Capco White Paper was titled “Understanding and Mitigating Operational Risk in Hedge Fund Investments”, and even though it was first published in 2003; it still inspires an ongoing debate about why many hedge funds fail.

The study mostly blamed operational issues for what they referred to as "an alarmingly high number of hedge fund failures", but Simon Kerr has a different view, not only on the conclusion of the study, but also about what really matters when it comes to winning in the hedge fund space.
