I had the pleasure to chair the 2013 Industry Practitioners’ Forum on Social Media & Financial Services in London. It turned out to be a great discussion about the use of social media in our industry.
The group was mostly made up of people from the asset management industry and the bulk of the delegates were from the compliance and marketing departments. We also had a few service providers that were keen to see what was on our industry’s mind and a handful of consultants that focus on the space.
We set up a the #2013SMFS hash tag so the attendees could share their thoughts and impressions on twitter which we then published on a Storify page to re-cap the event. It’s a great way to gather and share impressions from an event. What makes this application so great is that the story is told by the audience.
It was a great opportunity to take the pulse of what some of the big players in my industry are thinking. Click here to read my thoughts and impressions which I posted on my personal blog
Below is a re-cap of the event through the tweets on #2013SMFS
