Here's a simple thought... In the next few years another billion people will come online.

That will make the audience twice as large as it is today.

The amount 'billion' may not mean that much anymore because it is used very casually these days but put it in perspective:

1 billion people was about as much as the entire world population 100 years ago!

Most of this 'new billion' will live in emerging markets. They will start with a blank sheet because they won't have any experience with financial markets.

A few simple questions to ask yourself

Will you be there to teach them about investing?

Will it be easy for them to find you?

Do you speak their language? I mean this both literally and in the sense of being understood by an audience of absolute beginners.

A great social media strategy will allow you to 'be there'.

Provide the right kind of content and you will have the opportunity to win the minds and hearts of new investors. See it as the opportunity to become to investing what Coca Cola became to soft drinks...

Not exactly something to be ignored, is it?
